West or East Fork of Black River this time of year
Never been to either but have a free weekend. Thanks for the comments

I drove down the west fork a couple years back on a trip to Big Lake. I was surprised how skinny it was. Could've been a bad snow year. It had a fair amount of pressure. They're not far apart, seems you could hit one in the morning and one after lunch.
I have a trip in mind below the confluence. Maybe this fall. Good luck to you, be nice to know how you do. |

Is the confluence at wildcat point?

The confluence is approx. 10 miles above Wildcat Point.
The East fork has much more access.

The West Fork has always been skinny. It's not a river, I don't think it's even a stream. Just a trickle BUT..it's what we have in Az so thats what we fish !!!
Lots and lots of suckers below Wildcat point and below Buffalo crossing as well. |
