Salt River
Has there been any evidence of stocking trout in the Salt River in October?

I am aware of the stocking schedule.
However, there are no evidences of hatchery truck tracks or stocked trout in the Water Users, Blue Point or Phon D sections. The deluge of 48,000 cfs weeks ago has left things much different all the way down to Coon Bluff. I was just curious if AZGFD or US Forest Service has altered their plans because of this. If so, how do I find out what the plan is? |

The stocking schedule for Lower Salt River is for this week 11-18-2019, which means they could stock on any day of this week from Monday 18th to Sat 23rd and which day they do stock, they don't like to say.

Due to the storms srp (from what I've heard at work) is going to dump some water out so who knows what stocking will look like.

You can get access to stocking data (stocking information that includes the exact day it was stocked, with what species, and how many fish were stocked - same data that goes into the AGFD stocking database) by creating an account on the AGFD Portal and signing up for I Support Wildlife. You will still have to rely on the stocking schedule before the stocking, but the stocking data is posted the day of the stocking for those that have a portal account.

I fished phon D on Thursday
Muddy dirty water and no action. Hope it clears up soon. I usually catch a good amount of trout in December |
