I'm heading over there in July... my goal is to get a Bonita or several.

The plan is to take the kayak to the bait dock in Mission Bay and see what I can get.

If you can cast well, you can get a 40' cast out of it.

It's a nice little rod... I bought it primarily for fishing small creeks, but it's nice to use a 3wt on a lake...

It seems to be on the light side for both sizes, which equals a more "delicate" presentation.
