Payson Roundup, 1 hour ago, Closure info
May 21, 2018 - 11:28 AM - by joe
Much of the Tonto, Coconino and Apache-Sitgreaves forests will close to public entry on Wednesday in the midst of one of the most dangerous fire seasons in memory.

Anyone violating the closures will face a mandatory court appearance and a fine of up to $5,000 — or $10,000 for groups.

Best Float Tube Fins
May 21, 2018 - 12:40 PM - by Champ161
What do you guys think are the best float tube fin's? I'm using the basic Bucks Bag fins and they don't seem to move you very fast. My wife had me get her some regular scuba fins and she was getting around much better even in the wind. She weighs a lot less, LOL but still she was cruising all over with those fins.

Show Low
May 16, 2018 - 7:00 AM - by Champ161
Going to be spending a lot of time in the Show Low area this summer and wanted to see if I can get some tips on areas to fish. Most of my fishing has been done around the Willow Springs area. I've fished the lakes and steams all around there but never explored the Whites. I've always heard Becker is good but not much about the other lakes up that way. Any tips to get me pointed in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rattlesnake Ash
May 16, 2018 - 10:16 AM - by River
This fire has burned a large area around Bear Wallow...a portion of the same ground that the Wallow Fire burned. That ash is going to flow right into the Black....again. I am not an expert, but I have to suspect that there will be another widespread extermination of fish. Very sad. I am hoping and praying I am wrong.

"Woods" fire
May 13, 2018 - 2:10 PM - by joe
The Woods fire was started just above Woods Canyon lake on the same watershed. Careless, thoughtless and selfish people start these fires !!! These types of people are an example of white trash.
