My son and I hiked down telephone trail last saturday to fish Chevelon Creek. Our first trip down to the creek and what a beautiful canyon. Things looked pretty promising with all the big pools and a good amount of water flowing. My son kept telling me about pictures of big browns he saw as we hiked down. After about three hours of fishn and no fish and not even seeing one we lost the wind out of our sails. I told him I would post something and find out if any one is dialed in to this stream.... I am so against this idea. I would prefer to hook fewer Trout and know they are Wild. I have fished this stretch hundreds of times over the years, and only been checked on the road once for a license and twice by creel census takers.

Helping Stock Trout in Rio Grande NM

Saw this posted on facebook and thought it sounded like a cool opportunity to explore a new river.

I'm thinking about making a weekend out of it. Anyone have experience fishing this area?

Lower Salt River

I spoke to an angler who floats the Salt and fishes with spinning rods. He puts in at the parking area where the road to Saguaro Lake crosses over the Salt then goes downstream a couple of miles. I have forgotten the name of his take out point. He says he does it in inner tubes but I don't know just how these are arranged.

I have a pontoon boat which is powered either by oars or flippers or both. When the weather turns cooler, I may be interested in doing this.
