Stocking Lower Salt
Mar 22, 2018 - 12:52 PM - by jimc
I recently checked the AZGFD website for stocking schedule and they replaced the Winter schedule with the Spring schedule.

I can't find the stocking schedule for this week and next.

Anybody remember if they are stocking before April?

Rim Lakes are...

Took a drive towards Willow Springs this afternoon, and was pleased to see the main gate was locked open. There were 4 vehicles already in the main parking area, with a couple more in the picnic area.

Mar 21, 2018 - 9:30 PM - by Tying2Fly
If we can manage it the wife and I have a Groupon deal to stay at Kohl's Ranch Lodge this coming weekend (March 24-25) and I know that the stocking schedule for Tonto Creek and other places up on the RIM don't really start till 1st week in April. So I guess my question is if I am hunting for any holdovers in that creek what flies would be suggested?

I have some physical restrictions which will require me to minimize the risk of falling for most of the next year. Not that I am into falling to begin with, but some of my favorite fishing spots often have slippery footing, so a little refactoring is warranted.

I have a very nice inflatable pontoon which I will continue to use, but find myself wanting a little more for places like Big Lake where I fish frequently as a matter of convenience.
