Lower Salt River
Apr 04, 2018 - 1:47 PM - by Bucksnort
I see so much information about the lower Salt, I don't know which way is up or down.

Will someone tell me where I can go to wade the river and when to go? I know I can wade at the parking area near the bridge on the Bush highway.

Destinations of choice are Thunder Falls/Tapeats Creek or Bright Angel Creek (read that they both can produce some good fishing). Leaning towards Thunder Falls, as it is not as popular as Bright Angel and easier to get a permit (hopefully). Hoping to get some suggestions/info on which one would be a better option...

Aggressive little holdovers they are~
Apr 11, 2018 - 7:14 AM - by david vaughn
Spent the day on Woods Canyon yesterday (4-10), and the holdovers are hungry! No indecision on the fishies part on hitting the fly to get a free meal, that's for sure.

Hit the water around 11am, getting off around 6:15. Mostly mild breezes, adding a slight chop to the surface. An occasional bluster of wind to cool down my sun-burned chubby cheeks, thanks to abundant sunshine. Air temps were in the mid 60's, and the water was much warmer than I thought.
