Not a pattern but a box.

Figured I would pass this along. Nothing pretty, not terribly high quality but a GREAT inexpensive way to hold a ton of flies in an organized manner. I bought it for my boat. But I might be throwing the cups in my hip pack for river/creek trips because flies I cut off never find their way back in my box anyway. Around $20 with free shipping as it is an Amazon Prime item.

8 regular cups, 8 cups sliced into 4 and 4 skinny cups (for midges).

Can't vouch other... [Read More]

Grizzly Bears Flagstaff area?
May 25, 2017 - 6:12 PM - by nplenzick
Just don't know where to post this so the administrator can redirect it or delete it. Yesterday on the Cottonwood Facebook page a administrator posted a video he did of a female elk, fawn and a young bear. That young bear sure did look like a young grizzly to me but maybe black bears can be that blond. Could not share the video here but you can see it on their page. No one is answering my question there.

Largest AZ Brown to date

Hey guys I made it out to the stream with a good buddy of mine to fish for a bit this morning. Fishing was tough and we didn't spot very many eager fish. Towards the end of the morning I bush wacked through some overgrown vegetation as well as runoff debris into a long skinny pool. I was able to crawl to a less than ideal casting position with a very narrow window but I could see a feeding 12" fish about 6 feet off the bank. This pool was like glass. So I cut off my larger... Lost net
May 28, 2017 - 3:01 PM - by azmtbguy
Lost my net this past weekend on one of the smaller creeks below the rim. I would be very grateful and happy to buy a few drinks if it were returned. Happy to provide a description to anyone who may have stumbled upon it..

Thanks

SE Alaska cruise
May 10, 2017 - 8:56 PM - by Mr.Smith
The wife and I are going on a cruise to SE Alaska at the end of the month. Totally missing the salmon runs. Lousy timing on my part but May was a lot cheaper than June. Anyhow, we'll be stopping in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Anyone know anything about fishing in these areas? Looking to explore on my own and not spend a fortune on a guide. I have a couple ideas but there really isn't a lot of info on the web about doing in on your own. Any info or help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

small boat rental for Rim lake
May 23, 2017 - 4:39 PM - by CurboCycles
hey guys, I'm looking to take my wife and 3 small kids on a boat to a Rim lake in June. I need something with an electric trolling motor or 5hp or smaller engine. Online I see websites that offer kayak and canoe rental. Any idea where to rent a small fishing boat for a Saturday?
