Skip Morris Special Two-Night Event

Mark your calendars…

Desert Fly Casters Club (DFC) and Arizona Flycasters Club (AFC) are teaming up to bring acclaimed author and fly fishing expert, Skip Morris to the valley for a special two-night event next month. Skip will be presenting to DFC on the evening of April 8th and to AFC the evening of April 9th. Both events are open to the public.

Known to anglers worldwide, Skip Morris is among the most prolific of fly-fishing and fly-tying authors. Skip has published over 200 articles in magazines from Fly Fisherman to American Angler, and has authored or co-authored twelve books, including Fly Tying Made Clear and Simple, The Art of Tying the Bass Fly, Morris & Chan on Fly Fishing Trout Lakes, Concise Handbook of Fly Tying, and Fly Fisher’s Guide to Western River Hatches. His videos and DVD’s include tying nymphs, tying bass flies, tying and fishing flies for sea-run cutthroat trout. For three years, he was among the hosts of the “Fly-Fish Television Magazine” show. As a speaker and clinician, Skip is well-known as an entertaining, concise, and knowledgeable presenter, with a sly sense of humor and an easygoing manner.

I haven't been to an AFC meeting since I use to go with my grandpa while in high school. Damn that was a long time ago now. Randomly found a bunch of his stuff from it when going through some of his fishing stuff a few weeks ago. This sounds like a good time to come on back out. Hope to see some others there.

Don't forget!

We're only a week away from the Skip Morris two-night event hosted by DFC and AFC. Both presentations are free and open to the general public, so plan to arrive early to secure your seat.

Skip and Carol Morris will have books available for purchase at both meetings.

DFC's beefed-up monthly raffle will include a custom built 7pc., 9', 5 wt. fly rod, Lamson 3/4 fly reel, Fishpond lumbar pack, Orvis pack and more!

Additionally, immediately following Skip's presentation, we'll hold the drawing for the 2015 DFC Membership Rod Raffle featuring a Dave Weaver Built St. Croix SCv 9', 5wt. Eligibility for this raffle requires a 2015 DFC membership ($35), which you can still purchase before the meeting Wed. night.

Please RSVP to this thread with the night(s) you plan to attend. This will help us get a better idea of how many people to expect.

Thanks and hope to see you there!
