Salt River

A fishing buddy in Colorado suggested I check out possible trout fishing in the Salt between the reservoirs especially inlets and outlets. Is the water too warm for trout? What about access? Does AZ Game & Fish stock these areas? The only stocking in the Salt I've seen on line is below Saguaro.

Remember, a toilet is an asset.

they stock the reservoirs with trout through the winter, they typically get eaten by the largemouths, but in theory, it is possible that they would try and get to the river channels.. I wouldn't hold my breath in hopes of finding trout in the rivers between the reservoirs, but its worth a look, if they're there, i also wouldn't tell anyone. haha

access is another story.. got a boat? dirt bike? good sense of direction and the willingness to walk a LONG ways and possibly scale some canyon walls?

or, you could just go target the largemouth ( and smallies in apache) with a flyrod.. they're a lot more fun than the stockers anyways

confucius says, man who stands on toilet, is high on pot.
