We were fishing from a pontoon trailing intermediate sink tip lines with streamers and a Prince nymph. Also picked one up using a bead-San Juan worm.

The weather has been fantastic here in northern Arizona and the winds have been quiet. Btw, we were fishing on the far side of the lake, across from the main boat ramp, along the volcanic cliffs in front of the campground. The browns seem to be tucked into the cliffs.

Which route is the best to take to the tanks? Do I go through Williams?
up 17 to flagstaff, west on 40 to williams, and then south on perkinsville road (the road that takes you past bill williams mountain and the ski "resort"). there is a turnoff for the tanks and jd dam, that i don't remember the name of. but that's the general route from the valley.

What about a route to Perkins from Dead Horse? I have maps but perhaps someone has a good scenic route.
