I think the picture you put together made up for that and I thank you for the extra effort.

Likewise! That is awesome! I bet he was so happy! Do a lot of fish end up staying right there even when the water is clear?

ok DG. Understand on the toe tags. Just fyi on the fly I submitted... have caught a lot of rainbow trout on it. Was surprised when I went to east Texas. Didn't know you cold fly fish for cat. I caught a couple of crappie and then catfish. One cast after another. Every cast. Now the plot thickens. My friend sent me a picture. An 8 lb smallmouth... and guess what fly he got him on....yup. The one I submitted. I was very surprisedy that he told me. I think he hated to say it, because he has been tying all his life. I get the feeling he was reluctantly telling me that it was that fly that got the bass. Oh, I showed him that fly when I went to tx last summer.

So it has caught trout, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and now smallmouth.

just fyi

Gem

Every toe tag I have ever made was simply my name in a 10pt font.

I just use a label printer with 8 point font and two lines, then cut them in half. The plastic in the labels helps them stay on the hook.

I was just looking on azflyfishing.net and saw my "go to" fly listed as a Bass Leach. I never noticed it there before or I would have given credit for the fly design. Maybe it's new on the site....
