You can do whatever you want but I won't mandate it. I'm asking for 12 flies.

*EDIT*

I want to expand on this...

people join fly swaps for different reasons. Some think that a fly they get back will be a new favorite, some like to see what others tie, and some want to show off their skill.

These are all fine reasons and there is a bit of all those in my reason, but my main reason to to get better.

Joining a fly swap forces me to tie AT LEAST 12 flies of the same pattern, usually by the last few I'm getting pretty good at it, that is why I usually tie 20. I pick the best 12 to ship and keep the rest for fishing.

THe fly I chose for the dry fly swap was because I wanted to get better at tying that pattern. Same with this swap. I keep planning to tie some of these up. I even bought acid dye so I could make some burnt orange grizzly hackle, but weeks later it just sits on my shelf. So I join a swap and tada, I have to dye feathers and tie up a bunch of these.

I do like seeing what guys tie also, but filling my flybox is not why I do this.
