I got up Fri evening, and then on to the water Sat and fished all day with only a few hits but otherwise skunked. Then after the Sat night pot-luck and too much..... fluids... got out on Sun about 10am and only fished till 1pm (ran back to see Cardinals game) but in that short time caught 2 and lost several others. I was pretty much working the kiddie-hole both days and sighted a ton of fish and after going through almost my whole inventory of flys finnally started getting my hits and catches on a light-brown SJ-worm all by itself no dropper or strike indicator. Only one picture and sorry about the quality of it, as sun on it washed out its true colors.

Tim, I'm glad you finally connected. I hooked into one more after I left you but it came unbuttoned after a couple minutes fight. We split right after that around noon. It is incredible how many big fish were already doing the spawning dance in the shallows. Really neat to see.

Wasn't much better today! James and I fished a couple hours, had several hits and a buncha misses. Other than my back being sore from rowing all day Sunday, it was a darn good weekend. It was great seeing faces from last year, and meeting new folks this year! Sooooo....when's the Hawley trip? A kid I know was asking . Oh yea, thanks to everyone for making James feel at home and showing him the ropes yesterday. He said he learned alot and had a good time!
