Taking a tent? How many days are you going to be there?

What's your plan man! <grin>

Seriously, how long you plan on staying and fishing?

I am going for about 5 or 6 days
Probably set up camp (tent) just North of the San juan river.
Going to have a nice fire everyday.

yer gonna fuggin freeze. or not.
carry an electric heat source for your tent.

voice of experience, I've done that. also good to have a portable tv and game station.

the weather could also be just golden.

There are some affordable propane catalytic heaters on the market now. I bought one last year and it works great. The problem comes when your propane runs out and you left the canisters in the truck. Laying there half asleep freezing and trying to decide whether to run out in the cold and re-fuel sucks.
Also...stay off the ground.
