black river smallmouth trip carpool/planepool

hi guys, i live in california now, but looking to come to arizona for a smallmouth bass trip to the black river. i have a small airplane will be flying from los angeles to glendale, or any other airport. i can land and we can carpool or we can planepool the rest of the way and rent a car.

i can take up to 2 others as long as they are under 175lbs each with 10lbs of gear per person.

or one 250lb person or less.

There is an airport near San Carlos as well, across from the casino. Rooms & restaurant there too and Bashas right down the road.

can only land at showlow, the other white mountain airports are private and restricted from public use.

i believe the airport near san carlos is kearny. nice small runway. really narrow and short with no lights, but looks like its well kept. san carlos apache looks good too.

San Carlos apache looks like a good land. Easy drive from there into smallie waters. Stay low on the river.

I can meet you in my time machine and we can fish the Black back in the good old days. We can take my ornithopter the rest of the way and avoid the republicans.
pretty cool to have your own plane.

I was watching Arizona highways and there is a float plane company flying out of Scottsdale that will charter you up to Lake Roosevelt and other Salt river lakes for day trips. I wonder if you pay extra, if they can land on Chevy haha

thanks westy, that sounds like a good idea. are the smallies large or is it overfished in that area?

it is pretty cool todd. i actually bought it on ebay which is something all my pilot friends and embry riddle people laugh at, but i got it on a huge deal.

i'm thinking about getting my seaplane endorsement one. who knows.
