Little Colorado River

Looking for advice for good sections of the Little Colorado where the world's second greatest fly fisherman might rip a lip or two.

the west fork of the LCR above the wilderness boundary was some of the most productive, and most beautiful, fishing i've ever done. got into several wild apache trout in the undercut banks of the river. also had a few beaver ponds that held fish. the river runs right along the trail to mount baldy, and is just incredible.

game and fish stocks the section of the river below the wilderness boundary with apache trout, and is also a good spot to fish. i just prefer to wild apaches and the beauty of the section above the boundary - it is just a short hike there from the parking lot.

have fished the LCR in greer, but it was kind of crowded (holiday weekend) and i didn't have any luck.

have heard good things about the stretch of the LCR near x-diamond ranch, but i think you pay a fee to fish there, as it is a private ranch.
