New fire

That fire is 4 miles north of Forest Lakes.

That will screw up some fishing for a month.

Here we go again.

Last summer A LOT of control burning was done in this area the fire is currently situated at and nearby. This certainly will help the situation but its still a very dry and heavily forested area especially some of the remote canyons.

Just got back from fishing Willow Springs Sunday afternoon and yesterday, the cloud of smoke was huge. We camped at Sinkhole and yesterday morning the smoke was really bad until around 9 when the wind changed. This morning when we left things looked much better. Yesterday you would see a huge black cloud then an hour latter a huge white cloud so I assumed it was the controlled burn going on.
