And I write from the perspective of being the young fisherman many years ago who used velveeta cheese pressed upon a gold salmon egg hook keeping every fish I caught.

Dead fish eye in the freezer guy.

It's like anything, once it hits bookshelves, magazines, internet, facebook, etc word is out. People naturally take the easiest path, its human nature generally speaking. This site is no different.

Some find the necessary steps, challenges, time and investment made to locate productive places as part of the journey and enjoyment. Its a commitment often involving multiple trips, many many hours and tanks of gas spent researching, pouring over maps, scouting terrain and finding viable water. Leaving skunked occurs more often than not, let alone even finding water sometimes.

There's a good reason why anglers are tight lipped or as Litespeed1 suggested, "protective" of information.

Protective is good and is needed and I'm all for it. But being protective can be accomplished without being rude or disrespectful.

Wow, such activity on the board. Hasn't been this busy in a while. LOL

I don't mind sharing specific information face to face but I like to know the character of the person. I do like posting hints for people who are willing to put in some research and then the same miles on their boots as I did.

But momma said best, "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing"
