Mini hoppers and making a splash?

So I've got some AZWMHs and have just been told to cast them so they make some good noise upon landing, but never a tip on how to achieve said pop.

How do you guys cast these out there to get some noise? Roll cast?

What they should have told you, if you do not want any splash, then do not fish a mini hopper or any foam fly.

I think you misunderstand. I DO want the splash.

From what I'm hearing people say to land it hard on the water and get the attention of fish. When I cast these I get a little noise and maybe that's enough...idk

I could be wrong, but just drop your rod tip down during the cast.

Joe is saying they make plenty of splash.

I just stop my tip and aim for the surface...works everytime. Also, it's harder to do if you have a long tippet
