Iced up guides

Since we're talking about weather, i'd like to hear how all of you deal with iced up guides. I just dunk my rod every now and then. The only other solution I've heard of is Pam but haven't tried it. Temp was 2 degrees in Navajo Dam this morning though its going to get a bit less cold for the trip. Still single digits in the mornings.

Silicone spray works well also. They sell many different brands. Loon also makes Stanley's ice off paste its about $7-$8 and comes in the same size container as their tungsten paste if you have ever used that. I have used silicone but not sure if its safe for the fly lines. I don't think it would hurt the rod. Loon says their stuff is safe for both so it might be worth finding some.
