Old Fishing Show

How many of you remember this old fishing show? I was browsing youtube and came across this old show from the 1980's.

Yikes! I forgot all about this. My best guess is that it was filmed in 1987. It was fun to see the fish and to listen to my ideas on conservation of the Lees Ferry trout fishery at a time that these ideas were not so common.

Lookin' good Terry.

Will it make you feel better if I tell you I graduated High School in '87?

Sure don't miss the neoprenes.

I do remember the show and particularly the catchy theme song. What a lost world. Seems all our old AZ outdoor media is a thing of the past. Bob Hirsch....heck even Barry Burkhardt has been gone a few years.

87 huh? Well I was 5 years old then and still lived in NM so I don't know the show however it sure looks like it would've been a good one. That's awesome, didn't know AZ had a fly fishing show at one point. I think it's time to bring it back. What do you say Terry?

It was mostly a conventional gear bass fishing show.

Thanks for the reminder, Mike! This means I guided here when you were a freshman in high school. I thought these Streamline waist-highs were the best invention since graphite. The rod that I was likely using was a Sage 490 RP. The reel was a gift from Abel who had just started making reels...it was a number 1 serial #8...my son now owns this reel
