How does that do for tying one up quick. I literally just tied it, took the picture, cropped the picture, resized the picture, uploaded the picture to my hosting server and responded.

What is the smallest size you want to tie a pt or a hairs ear? I tied some 20 but was having a hard time getting the body thin except on a few that I only tied brown thread after covering the wire before the wire wrap. I just put away my bench but I'll join the next one. Good job speedy!

99.9% of my PTN and HE are 16's. I will tie them in 18's just in case, but 16's really get the job done. Any 20's through 24's are midges to me anyway and in that case just trail my 16 PTN with a #20 zeeb.

I like to twist the bundle of PT fibers with hackle pliers to form a somewhat tight "rope" before wraping it for the body. This helps to keep it slim and neat. But like Kirk said, probably wont use a PT in a sz 20 much.
