Probably, but I gave my beat up Bucks Bags 9'er to a friend when we moved down from MT. The only pontoons I have now are Aire 16' and 18' cataraft's. The 16' has a fishing frame thigh braces, anchor rig, stripping baskets ect., but I use the tube for still water because it's easy and it fits in my Jeep.

I might replace it, but I don't mind a tube, especially when hiking is involved and tube is much better in the wind haha

We are fishing the Juan in late March for a week and I'm taking the 16'er over for that. A real deal whitewater fishing boat always looks out of place next to all the low side drift boats and their stubby flatwater oars.

I'm scheming on an outboard to push the fishing cat upstream at Lee's and then drift back. AK folks routinely motor their cat's.

I will cast to a hole if it looks juicy, but mostly I cast into slots, I'd like to get the fish to the net

I've had really good luck casting a chironomid pupa/emerger two fly rig under an indicator into slots, with a super slow retrieve out.

.....mess up the cast though and the rig is laying on top of the weeds haha

so, the trick is to cast into the slots, so you can retrieve thru the clear water?

That's what i do, if it's not windy and my cast fu is feeling strong haha

If it's windy I work the open water dragging meat, various two nymph /indicator arrangements or a dry/emerger dropper.

Straight up stillwater.

I have a few flies tied with some weedless mono loops and tags. Not a bad idea if you want to throw some streamers or poppers into the grass. Here's an article with more than a few ideas for that. https://www.saltwatersportsman.com/t...rds-your-flies
