With exotic items you may also be required to have the right government paperwork. Example would be seal fur. Do your research on what you have since it is a life's collect and when purchased the new laws where not on the books.

He would more then likely never be able to get a Cities permit for any of the exotics he may have. Had to get one years ago for a fly I sent to Norway and its a lot of paper work from the suppiers that I bought the JC from and who they bought it from. Just don't ship anything out of the country.

I could use a Bald Eagle skin if you got it and maybe some new born seal pup fur..

Thanks for all of the input! I will definitely be donating a good chunk at some point but i would like to sell a fair amount of it first. There are probably about 6000 flies that i will be selling as well as probably 12,000 hooks. I have already sold or traded out much of the exotic materials (yes there were probably 15 jungle **** necks) but there are a bunch more dry fly necks, thousands of beads, all kinds of beautiful hair, packs & packs of z-lon, every type of feather you can think of, silk threads, museum quality salmon flies, tons of tying equipment, etc. A "small shop" is a good description. My uncle did competitive fly casting and tying for over 40 years. He was a certified genius, perfectionist, and engineer. This was the ONLY thing that he did. He would spend 2 hours in a fly shop finding the one second grade neck that was misgraded. Does anyone know someone like a ASU student or someone with some extra time who knows tying/fishing who might want to sell this on ebay for me? I would prefer to not sell this stuff $20 here and $40 there but if anyone would be potentially interested in a large lot of it or wants to make a deal and do the selling themselves i would be happy to meet with them and show them the goods! Thanks again!

That explains the amount and cost right there. I'm sure without seeing it that the materials are top notch.

Well, Geez. There are a few of us right here who might like to see this collection and have a crack at some things. Wow....

I have plenty of spare time and would be happy to list it on ebay, collect the money via my paypal account and ship it all out for you..
You can compensate me for the time and effort with materials from your collection. I would not however want to store that much stuff at my place. You could simply divide the stuff into lots and deliver one or two lots at a time. Let me know.
