Inherited Tying and Fishing Gear

I just inherited a TON of tying material, tools, hooks, flies, etc. I am looking to sell a bunch of it at really low prices but I would prefer to not have to spend all the time required to sell all this stuff on Ebay. To buy all of this new there is probably $40,000 in stuff but I hope to get around $8,000. (shear number of flies is crazy!) There is also some lower end reels, lots of unused lines, misc gear, etc. I am going to spend all money made on new gear.
1. Does anyone know of a good alternative way to sell this stuff? (swap meets, trade up program at fly shops, etc.)
2. Is anyone interested in "partnering" with me to sell this stuff for a share in profits?
3. Does anyone know of a club that might be interested in buying some of the higher end tying material as raffle prizes, tying kits, etc.?
4. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

If I inherited that much tying stuff and flies I would probably pick through it all and take what I wanted and then donate the rest to a local non-profit like the Boy Scouts and use it as a huge right off...

Your best bet would be to take a bunch of pictures and post them up here and on Craigslist and have people come over and take what they want and then quote them a price.

I wonder if flychick could use them for her CFR... donated of course... They would use that stuff no doubt, again with the write off... I think there are quite a few fly fishing organizations for recovering individuals.

then again you can just post the entire thing in the buy sell trade...

I am looking for some stuff... maybe you could take a pic or two or 5 and post them. maybe I could stop by and take a look at it. if not I say that the wounded warriors is a good place to donate. as well as the casting for recovery.

I'm thinking along the lines of aztightlines, $40,000 new, hope to get 8. Thats got to be a small shop. Unless there are some exotic skins for doing salmon flies I would say you maybe are over pricing it. E-bay I would say will give you the largest dollar result. Even when the economy was good finding someone to put out 8k would be slim. If you do have some exotic skins I maybe able to find you a buyer.
