That Lite Brite is my favorite also Josh (so good, I'd almost think you had your own Sri Lankin sex slaves tying that pattern)!
I've gone down to 32. I've even tied dry bunny midges on those things. Then I just say screw it and throw a big stimmy.

I use chironomids in most of the lakes that I fish, but not nearly enough. For some additional reference material go to www.evergreenflyclub.org and check out the April, July, and August 2006 issues of their club newsletter "Swirl Tips". This is a FFF club in Washington and these guys fish all over the PNW and British Columbia. These guys really know chironomids so it would be a good read if you were to take the time.

McPhail Blue Buzzer

Go to You Tube, and type in Davie McPhail Blue Buzzer. There is a nice video tutorial for his pattern. Looks to be a real fish slayer !!!!!

Ya Mcphail has alot of great fly's posted up on you tube. I tie a buzzer modeled after the buzzers he ties, with a tan goose biot that works pretty well for me. Just got to tie them much smaller then he does hehe. He also has alot of other patterns posted up the guy is a great tier. If you want to see some hardcore married wing demo's hes the guy.
