Not all that interested in pre-fire info on the Black River - as in zero interest. I've fished the Black three times, at three different spots since the fire but haven't been to Military Crossing. Looks like I'll be the first one on this Arizona Fly Fishing forum to fish and post anything remotely current about the Black River, which surprises me.

As for books, I've got the book from Meck and the book from Jordan. Looks like those books will be my source for info.

Hmm no offense but there was a black report a few weeks back...

''no crawfish, smaller bass, slow catching, no 100 smallies a days and crap conditions still, etc.''

but if you go I welcome your detailed patrol

That said, I'd like to read about fly fishing experiences/insights on the Verde, West Fork of Oak Creek, West Clear Creek, East Clear Creek, the Black River, Pacheta Creek, Big Bonito and Little Bonito Creek, the East Fork of the White River, Diamond Creek, Tonto Creek, Haigler Creek, Horton Creek, Christopher Creek - any or all of them. I've fished some of the above but no where near all of them.

I'd like to learn something on this forum. I'm supposed to be fishing the Black River near Military Crossing this weekend, and/or Big Bonito Creek, and/or Little Bonito Creek. I say supposed to because it looks like the water (at least the Black River) is flowing high... concerned about muddy roads and stained water. Assuming I do go, I'll try to post pictures and some brief commentary. I'll try to personally post what I'd like to read - fly fishing in Arizona.

FWIW, I have a really thick skin. It's all good.
Those are all secret honey holes that we aren't allowed to discuss. Lake pleasant is ok, though.

Obviously there is a correlation with that avatar helmet and your overall brain functionality. It's all here, but you can't find it. You will never find it, but you will spend the rest of your life looking for it, and blame everyone else for your lack of success. Have fun.

There are two relatively easy ways to find the information for which you are looking.
1. Use the search function of the site or do a google search of the site. Ex. Search Example
2. Start a new thread and ask the question. Ex. New Thread Example

I believe you will find both of these methods to be more helpful than the thread that you currently are engaged in but do what you must.

There are definitely waters that people are less likely to share info about but I have always received help via posts or PM's when I asked a question.

I look forward to your reports.
