I don't think they have grass carp in the lakes I fish so, I was only punning on the grass carp. I do want to be ready when I see one though and I haven't done much research except for Cinda gave me some notes/tips a few years ago which I tucked away in my panty drawer.

Go buy a copy of Big Bambu that still has the paper in it. You should be able to smoke half a carp in it. That's the best way I can think of.

Carp is Christmass Dinner in...
...the Czech Republic!

I dated and almost married a Czech woman at one point. She would get these cravings for carp. On one such evening I took her to a super nice fish place - spent $30 on a salmon cut for her, and she said "it's good, but not as good a Czech carp."

So there you have it. The cure for the salmon shortage...
