Bartlet 4-21

Fished the AA fishing derby with my Grandfather this Saturday. We boated 11 fish. Six for my Grandfather and five for me. It wasn't a team event so his top five out weighed mine. The fishing was tough. He received second place with about 5 1/2 pounds and I had just a little under 5 pounds for third place. All the fish where taken on drop shots or Texas rigs. My Uncle and his wife where there fishing also. He likes to do alot of trolling. He boated two small bass. But his wife managed to hook an 18lb Flat head while trolling a broken back Rapala. She ended up winning the goon fish prize.

Great finish! Thanks for the report. I know a rod builder that has been on a catfish pattern out there. They troll crank baits by the damn at 7 mies per hour. Last week they caught 15 all between 20-34 pounds. I'm not into cats or trolling but that is quite the pattern!
