Dead Horse Ponds

Anyone know if these ponds are fishable at the Dead Horse Ranch St Park near Cottonwood? Are they covered with ice? Are they still getting stocked since it has been cold last few weeks? I am thinking it might be ok to fish as I might be up that way in a few weeks to visit with some family.

To answer your question in a roundabout way, Green Valley Lakes in Payson are ice free, including the fishing docks.

As Payson is higher in elevation than Cottonwood, I would surmise Dead Horse State Park lakes would be open for both bank and watercraft fishing.

I was thinking about heading over there myself sometime next week, as it's been nearly a year since I've been there last.

No idea on whether or not the stocking was postponed or not...
