I agree, that's why I said they were in Western AK during that period after crossing the Bering land bridge, but it wasn't till after the ice age that they began moving east and south. They didn't make into the lower 48 until 13,000 to 15,000 years ago.

When you headed to Pyramid, looks like I will have some dates open in April and need to test drive my truck on a long run...keep saying I will go and this looks like it might happen...

In years past I have caught little brookies in the weeds on the east side of Riggs Flat. It has been a long time since I have caught one of any size in there, though, or any browns for that matter.
