Unbelievable, to think of the revenue the locals will lose because of the many people including our trip not going to that area. Let me guess a budget problem due to over spending and just poor management.

You're right about the guvmunt thing here. The land of "manana" Makes me wonder if I should ask for a refund for the days I can't use my annual pass. I plan on ripping some lips at the meeting here in Albuquerque on Wednesday. If there's any change to the game plan for everyone, let me know. I'm still working that Friday anyway, but might take that Tuesday off to fish with everyone. Please send an email ASAP if you haven't yet. Biggest part of the deal is the impact on the locals. This cuts WAY deeper than just the average joe.

Right on guys. Heaven forbid we should actually pay for the services we receive. Perhaps New Mexico should do like AZ and cut taxes to solve the budget gap.

Just announced on the local news here that the state personnel board approved the good governor's furloughs. Christmas Eve, Juanuary 15th, February 12th, March 5th, and May 28th. The only exemptions were state police and prison guards...duh!

So the only people who could bust you on these days would be State Police if they happened to be there? I mean, it's not like there's a barbedwire fence surrounding the river with a gate to lock...

This is the dumbest furlough system I have ever heard. I am tempted not to go to the Juan because of it. It is a long drive for two days of fishing. I really think this punishes the local businesses.
