We are waiting for a picture of this fly and goofing around till it happens.

You claim to know what it is, tie the damn thing up and post a pic instead of just talking smack about how the site sucks.
Go back to hijacking threads, if you would fish more in the mtns you would know what this patterns looks like...so you just wait and be patient and someone will post it for you...not me...

"So what", if that's the case don't respond to this statement...it's easy as that...

my goal is to see a pic of the fly.
everything changes mang. be proactive for change. I've tried it. it isn't easy. few will participate much less cooperate.

"fish more in the mountains you would know what this pattern looks like." is that helpful? I know what it looks like, dub told me. overhand knot on either end of a chamois lashed to hook. I can tie it. I want to see it.

I really had no expectation of you doing it.

I knew I had read it somewhere here. didn't mean to mis-attribute it to dub.
maybe I don't know what it looks like. perhaps the whole point of this thread?

I don't mean to get this thread off the topic of musicals, but what do you guys use for chamois? Just the stuff you'd use to dry off your car? Or is there an easier/perhaps smaller source?

And why no mention of This is Spinal Tap? I know it isn't a musical, but flesh torpedo is just like Mr. Blur's reference to the AC/DC line in fewer words...

Check out Tempe Sales on Mill/Broadway. They sell real chamois (no sham-wow here) and last time I was there they had a bin of rabbit pelts for pretty cheap.

The cheapest I have found is Walmart.

Real leather chamois, 2.5' square feet for about $8.
