Just got back from Camping at Hawley over the weekend at the camp ground.

The camping is primitive correct?

Where the group will be yes, but very nice area.

Is there a crapper nearby or should I bring my own?

Not sure on this

Fire Restrictions in place(obviously), small single burner (jetboil style) stoves are OK yes?

Gas stove OK, no fires or charcoal...

Any guess on the water temps this time of year? I hate wearing waders in the pontoon if its not too icy...

Water is still pretty chilly in the 50"s, lots of fining with the wind, bring an anchor for stripping or hanging from an indicator.

Earl Park is special permit right? Can those be bought at the store there?

If you have annual pass you are good to go. If not I am pretty sure can get them at the Hawley store as they sell permits in addition to Hon-Dah or McNary on the way in

Any "Must have" flies for this lake/area?

Semi seal and buggers fished deep on sink line produced fish during the day as well as stripping from shore when the wind was to high. Small hoppers and small bushy dries did well during the evening rise which is like clock work but seems to completely turn off once the sun is completely down.

Attached are some pics from the trip.

Sounds like a fun trip guys. Have a great time!
A bad day of fishing is much better than a good day at work.

Last time there was a whole row of porta-potties, a water trailer, and plenty of benches.

Also, you were able to get an EP permit at the Hawley Lake store.

I don't know but I'm interested. I have never fished any of the reservation lakes, so I'm ready to try EP also.
