too true, but many areas get TOO much pressure to allow harvest of trout. So happy medium is catch and release in some areas, and get off our butts and actually WALK/HIKE into areas that don't get pressure(for example streams on Mt Graham, Grand canyon national Park streams, and eat some of those pesky bluegills and small mouth bass too!!

Mount Graham streams!!! I took a out of state cousin(though i must admit, I am out of state now too, live in new mexico) to lower Grant Creek, above the Fort Grant prison base of West side Mount Graham/Pinalenos Mountains and as always it was a hazardous but amazing place to fish for Apache hybrid trout!!! It was my spring break from grad school in New Mexico(new veteran using gi bill ) and despite the drought the water flow in Grant creek was excellent, and fish population size wise, and numbers is doing well. Some of the Apaches (as in Ash Creek on north side of mountain) definately show Gila Type charteistics, cutthroat slash, parr marks on sides into adulthood.. let me know if anyone fishes here or the near by Gila Wilderness as well, the Gila are really making a comeback like the Apache trout in AZ........
