Here are the Crease Flies I do with 2 sided foam and cellophane

Much cheaper / easier route IMO..

furthermore.. you dont need an airbrush to get this look.. go buy some prismacolor markers. use white foam. and whatever translucent material you want ( cellophane would work great like josho uses) color w/ markers.. add cellophane and CCG over the top. done.

you can get as detailed as you want.. and the markers are light and UV safe.

if you want some really bad.. send me a pic of the shad you want to match and ill make one for reference for you.

Thanks dudes. I use several types of markers, nail polish, CCG, etc, already. I'm just looking to take my Shnit to the next level with foils. Airbrush is still in the daydream stage.
Josho's look great. Are those cut by hand? Awesome. How many fish can you catch on one before the hurl comes off? And why do the beat up flies catch as many fish as the fresh ones?

The tape is cool but, I think foils will have several advantages. Thanks though.

I used a bunch of that tape making spoon flies for redfish. It's very thick and not really what TTF is looking for.

Plus, BPS has the same stuff in their saltwater section.

Got a bunch of foils from Buzfly and I'm almost able to tie without a hand over one eye.
last few flies took me way too much time.....
can't wait to see how it works out.

First try with metalic foil. Tough to see the shimmer in a photo.

Same fly looks different in the photos.
