That's a good one, Joe, but I don't wish to be less tolerant of bad behavior in and around flyfishing - it's almost sacred and deserves our respect. We can "sin in our minds" as former Prez Jimmie Carter once said, but actions are a different matter.

As ethical, caring flyfishers I hope we can carry the traditions of conservation and hardwon knowldge forward.

Resolution: spend more time on the water, less time here.

Spend more time on the water, new and different to me...
And attempt to convert my spouse of almost 26 years into a flycaster of significant fame

Now the only trick is getting her on the water....

I plan to get a new trailer for my aluminum boat so I can take people out with me on the lakes near Greer. I think it will be the best way to teach and to bond with some folks who are not yet fanatical about fly fishing. I do love the pontoon fishing, but I miss having my fishing buddies close enough to talk. Beyond that, I am going to Belize with my wife and brothers for a week and plan to catch my first permit!

I had some Peacock bass in my 90 gallon fish tank, they splashed about a gallon out every time I fed them, I couldn't imagine how they would fight on a fly rod, I wish our winters were more mild so we could stock them here. I have had pet largemouth too and they are sissies compared to the peacock bass by far. Congrats on a good year of fishing.
