another Arizona-tiedfly worked...

Good afternoon to all-
Having spent the last year in Phoenix and not getting to fish much, I did quite a lot of fly tying while there. We're back home on the Gulf Coast now, and I got to go after some pretty big redfish last night. I used some of my Arizona flies, and did pretty well.
I hooked and lost a bunch of reds on poppers which had too light wire hooks- the reds just straightened the hooks out on their runs.
I then tied on a clouser-like streamer that I tied out there, and when the shooting was done, I had a red which approached 30 pounds in the boat. Lots of fun.
So I guess the desert mojo works well in Alabama, too.
Hope you all get some rain out there.
good evening to all- Ed
