Why?
What are you going to do with them when you trap them?
As an appetizer (appe-teaser) for dinner?
A little surf and turf? Steak and Crawdaddies?
I LOVE TO EAT THOSE LITTLE MUD BUGS.

Last time I went (in 2006), NOBODY ate a fish all weekend, so I assume you aren't going to make a bouillabaisse or paella?

How about some crawdad chili?

I thought we were fly fishing for trout, what am I missing here??? ;-)

Well to be honest I was selfishly thinking of myself. I cannot get enough of those critters.

Sounds like a few people are bringing traps.

Does someone want to organize a communal crawfish boil for Friday (or Saturday as a potluck precursor) ?

Need someone with a big propane fired pot.

Volunteers for the fixings (corn, potatoes, crab boil, lemons, etc.).

Thoughts ?

Thx.

Scott

I got a turkey fryer as a gift a long time ago, I think it's still in the box in storage. I believe it also comes with a propane burner. I'll check it out and if I do have what we need I'll bring that and the other stuff.

If anyone is bringing a generator that could still work.

If not I've got a 2 burner Coleman propane stove we could probably balance the pot on ?

Let me know.

Thx.

I don't think the pot would work on its own.

I also have a coleman two burner and I've been looking into getting a big pot. How big a pot would we need?

I almost always sprinkle them with Zatarain's and grill them when I'm camping. I wonder if fire will be allowed... I wonder if we will... I didn't check the fire map....
