La Cienega de Santa Clara, Mexico

Last summer I was working on a job and got to talking fishing with a guy who told me about this place, he told me the bass fishing was well worth the drive, (it's about 65miles south of Yuma.) I was hoping that someone here might have some personal experience with the area and would not mind sharing some info. I was thinking of trying to make it down there next month or in March.

I have heard the same thing, its a nice looking piece of water along the Colorado. I saw some of it last September on a trip through Baja but no idea how it fishes. Easy drive to the area.

Bring cash and a copy of your id and passport in your boot.**** can turn south fast in might be fine but there are desperate people down there. My friend down here works narcotics he has been in 3 shoot outs one guy was on the side of the road and he went to help him and give him water and he punches him in the face and my buddy empty 2 clips with suppressive fire they ended up getting him in costodgy alive. Mabye it's diffrent in Yuma then down here in Nogales but I doubt it.
All who wander are not lost...

Thanks for the advice. It's something that i asked that guy last summer about and he said in about twenty years of going down there he never had any trouble. But still, it does kinda linger in the back of my mind.
