Upper or Lower Oak Creek

My wife and I are heading up north this weekend (May 17th thru 19th) to see my grand-daughter's final soccer tournament of the season in Flagstaff. They live in Cottonwood and travel to Flagstaff Sat morning. I'm thinking about heading up early Friday with hopes of getting some fishing in before we park for the night in Cottonwood. I know where I have gone in the past on the upper part of Oak Creek (been a few years), up to far end at cave Springs camping area. But how is it at the lower end of oak Creek? I see on the stocking schedule and map from AZG&F that they stock like right behind Page Springs hatchery and another at Willow Point Crossing. Is there a good place to park with easy access (bad knees and backs) to the water? Or would there be another spot on the lower Oak creek that access is better and possibly some fish?
