Bckpacking to Lakes, Streams and Rivers

Other than the walk down to Chevelon, which can be done as a day trip or overnight back pack, which other fly fishing bodies of water require backpacking?

The shortest distance between any two straight lines is a point.

Each stream that I have fished in the Grand Canyon, I backpacked to them.

The shortest distance between any two intersecting straight lines is zero.

I think he meant the shortest distance between two points is a straight line .

Have you fished Bright Angel Creek lately?

Have not fished BA creek for over a decade. Try talking to a state fisheries biologist for that region.

AZMandella,

No, I said it correctly. The shortest distance between any two straight lines is a point.

Here's the deal. First, you have to know the source of the saying and that would be my best friend who is an engineer and a civil engineer to boot - need I say more? . He has this sick, demented, goofy, and dry sense of humor. He also says, "time is fun when you are having flies". I and his wife have been giving him a hard time for many years about being an engineer.

Now, before any of you engineers out there get your panties all bunched up, I have nothing against engineers but sometimes, when you are in a target rich environment, it's hard to pass up digs.

And speaking of the saying, I have put a lot of thought into it. Sometimes, it makes sense but most of the time, I realize it's totally stupid.

I should have made myself more clear and asked to leave out the Colorado river up north.

Bucksnort,

BA Creek is in the middle of GCNP and may have likely held CRCs if it was not for massive downpours over the eons and eons. The last one that I know of was 1964 which caused AZGFD to restock the brown trout there.

Your engineer friend has gone "open loop" which causes oscillation and instability in electrical circuits and planes to fall out of the sky. He is not to late to work on a BSEE.

If you don't mind chasing large smallmouth bass, then the Verde River at the East Verde confluence might be the hike you're looking for. Of course, it might be better to simply float the entire river drainage from Camp Verde to Horseshoe Lake.

I had a positive experience at the confluence while on a law enforcement mission way back in the 80's.
