Chub

I read in the fishing regulations that round tail and head water chub can only be caught on single point barbless flies or hardware and must be released. Is this a species I would be interested in catching in Arizona? Are they easy to catch?

They feed just like trout. Catch them on dry flies or nymphs. Fun fish actually.

Mudbug,

Are these fish butt ugly like carp? Do they have scales like bass, perch or other non-salmonid species or are they more trout like?

I think they are pretty, but the biggest I have caught was maybe 9" at most.

Can't beat the scenery at Fossil Creek though.

Mudbug, your pics are not opening for me. Not sure if it's my end or the website.

Just sayin'...
