Juanuary Transporation Central

Given that gas is now 3 bucks a gallon and lots of the Juanuary folks are going to be traveling from Phoenix, I thought it might be a good idea to have thread where drivers with empty seats and people willing to carpool could meet initially.

If you are a driver with an extra seat, please indicate your departure and return times as well as where you are staying in NM and any restrictions (non-smoking car as an example). If you are a potential rider looking for a lift, indicate your preferences.

I would suggest planning and negotiations take place via Private Messages so the thread does not get overloaded. If you get a ride or fill a car, please update your post to reflect this.

Thanks!

I am leaving at midnight on the 17th on my 1984 Honda Spree. Passenger must be able hold all of our gear, bedding, and 24 bratwurst. Warm body preferred. Must have own helmet.

Seriously, good idea. Still don't have the itinerary quite nailed down yet, but will advise.

You might want to watch out for the "guy" on the back of your scooter. He might look for the saddle horn. UG. lol

Empty Seat(s) headed to Juanuary

I'm heading out VERY EARLY Thursday morning with the intention of fishing Thursday afternoon, Friday, Saturday (pot lucking Sat. eve.) and maybe fishing Sunday AM before returning (unless the weather was like last year).

I'll be headed from southern Phoenix thru Payson, Heber and Taylor (to fetch WhtMnt) on the way up and back. There is spare room in the vehicle if you are interested in carpooling/gas sharing. We are staying at the luxurious Holiday Inn Express in Farmington (about a 30 minute ride, but the food in Farmington is good, the heat works and there is free Internet).

We'd be happy to drop people at the Hide-away or Abes. I suspect that getting local transportation back and forth to the river will be pretty easy if you just ask for it. There are a ton of people staying at those two locations.

PM me if you have an interest.

Love that Spreezy Rider!

How about this (do a wheelie on this bad boy):

But seriously, I could borrow my cousins cruiser:
