You could also use Liquid Fusion which is a waterbased clear urethane glue. Available almost everywhere.
Hope this helps.

I was gonna use liquid fusion on this last batch of flies but I didn't want to try anything different last minute that might force me to have to redo them all.

The solvent in SHHAN screws with the marker colors I use on the heads, I'm hoping that liquid fusion won't do that.

Looks like a great fly for Redfish.
I just had to tie some, with a slightly larger head than Mudbugs.
Enjoyed participating in the swap.
Kudos to AZMandella for his EP Rattle Gill and Newby for the Slumpbuster. Nice to see young tyers progressing so well.
Young ????? **** I'm pushing 50.

Flex Coat works real well. I use it on my Clouser Floating Minnows.

My reference to "young tyer" was a compliment for Newby.
I knew AZMandella was really old.
I pushed 50 long ago.

Well thank you Wildwilly, I'm glad to join a swap and put out something of decent quality. I hit a lot of roadblocks trying to tie for this swap but it was the best swap I've been in, on any forum. NAFF, FTF, etc.... I look back at the flies I tied for my first swap ever and cringe, lol.

I still say that you and AZMandellas flies are the biggest offenders in the too pretty to fish department. How can I live with myself if I loose one of them? I suppose a 2lb+ bass wold soften the blow.

so everybody. If you are interested in fishing my popper. cut or sand the bottom flat. I'm sorry I should have realized that when I made it. I tested it in the pool and at Canyon but didn't think that it would cause misses. Also the paint could use a gloss over it to preserve it from the fish. Sorry! Love all the flys! I'm not sure if I will fish some of them because they look so cool I would hate to lose them!!!
