Late Summer 2012 Buggers

I asked for everyone to take the idea of a woolley bugger and tweak it a bit, I think we got a lot of examples of just that.

Good Job everyone, and thank you.

Super Fly - Is that FTD living dubbing?

Pheasanttail 65 - gave us two of them, Thanks

Newby - stepped up last minute to fill in a slot and did a great job with a Black KC Bugger

MudBug - Tweaked Bunny Bugger

Mr. Smith - This picture does show the red chenille very well.

lostdutchman - Crawdad Bugger

lando - some kind of simi-seal and guinea hen bugger

JoJackc - I think this has a simi-seal body and bunny tail.

Flygirl - Holiday Special.

DCSlick - Skinny Tail Bugger? (looks like a good still water nymph)

CPTxKIRK - Fire Bugger?

BassHunter - Beadchain Eye Bugger.

Thanks for the photos Mudbug, they have my juices flowing! Mine looks a little like the ugly duckling, and now I am thinking I could have got by with one strand of marabou per each, but after seeing how slim they get in the water I went with two!

I look forward to fishing them all!

bugger swaps are cool. I've hosted or participated in at least a handful. I really like a few of those.

look at yer palmered hackle tiers. you want the sweep ot the feather sweeping back and the taper of the feather as well. whiting bugger packs are great. there are other options. I'll try to find a picture but y'all know what I mean right?

I'll show ya anyways.

Yeah I've been practicing with the palmering of the hackle using a wire rib to tie it down since the swap. Works great so I can tie in the hackle near the front of the fly and palmer back.

All of those will catch fish.

I've been tying in the tip, then flaring it and wrapping.
