Summer 2012 Nymph Swap

Sorry the pictures were slow getting up.

Some very nice flies here, and some brilliant little details I never thought of.

Just to name one thing that caught my eye.

I love the detail on Flyjunky's Big Bear Baetis abdomen. It's such a minimal thing but on such a small fly the act of just ribbing the thread over the pheasant tail and leaving the fuzzy gaps between them is fantastic.

Here are the pics.

Pinetopbob - Montana Nymph

toddthefrog - Chip's Gitter

MudBug - Rickard's Peacock Callibaetis

MrBlur - Generic Flymph

Jojackc - Jimmy's #1 Stunna

JasonJones - JJ's Woven Damsel

Freddieflyfish - Flashback PTN

Flyjunkie - Big Bear Baetis

Flygirl - Crippled Calibaetis

CPTXKIRK - Evil Weevil

Wishing I had some of those Baetis nymphs out here. The Baetis is killing it here in Colorado. Nice ties.

Some of the stray hairs are too long or, at least longer than I thought they should be. Most of them look about right to me. The few offenders were a suprise.

Eh? They look good, dubbing is supposed to be fuzzy like that.

Also, I admit that the macro mode on my camera will really show everything.
