Silver creek

Showed it to a friend who has a cabin fairly close last week. The water was dirty and very poor visibility. Not what I remember when I was there in January 4 years ago. Any explanations for this ?????

Silver Ck is refered to as a "mudhole" (it is very silty) but it can be clear at times.

I remember the "gauntlets" as always being murky, though you could still see the fish cruising. The water in between seemed to be somewhat clear.

It might've gotten a flush of silt from the hatchery portion, which was getting cleaned after stocking the last of the trout on station on Oct 1 and 2.

But like others have mentioned, it never gets crystal clear, always a little murky.

It may be referred to as a mud hole by some, but it's a fun mud hole in December thru February when everything else up here is frozen.
