Does anyone know the status of any fish kill, if any, this year?

Our office and the Tribal Game & Fish fisheries staff hope to get our electrofishing boat out to Sunrise in early April - depending on the wind of course - to see how the fish faired during the winter.

The White Mountain Lakes Foundation is working to help lakes, such as Carnero, and needs your support.

Carnero

The WMLF met a couple weeks ago and Kelly was able to make it to the meeting. We wanted to coordinate things with him and get ideas on what to concentrate on next. He thought that Carnero would probably kill but wasn't certain. He also thought Crescent would make it as it iced up late. Let's keep our fingers crossed. We decided the next project WMLF would take on would be to buy 4 portable aerators that AZG&F could use on whatever lake/lakes they thought needed it. Seems like a pretty good plan and should help to keep the lakes alive in the future.
Looking forward to seeing how big the rainbows and brookies will be this season in Crescent.
Good time to join WMLF at wmlf.org. Your money will go towards saving the lakes.

Carnero is another one of the lakes that could potentially not be stocked anymore with the alternative stocking regime in the state wide stocking EA..... Make sure you make comments....
